Library Learning Commons Access Services Policies

Group Study Rooms

The Fall River, New Bedford, and Attleboro campus Library Learning Commons have group study rooms that are available to students, faculty, and staff affiliated with Bristol Community College for group study and library research projects.

You can reserve group study rooms through our Reservations System. Please choose a campus and use the drop down menus.

The group study rooms are available for groups as large as 8 (depends on the room, be sure to read details when reserving).

Reservations may be made for group study rooms 2 weeks in advance.  No individual may have more than 3 pending bookings at one time within the two week period.  Reservations must be made at least one day in advance.  Generally, same day reservation requests cannot be honored, but may be possible depending on room availability.

  • Group study rooms cannot be booked for entire classes.
  • Reservations will expire after 15 minutes if no one from the group claims the room.
  • Reservations are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

Group study rooms are not to be used for functions such as committee meetings, lectures, or seminars. They are not to be used in place of the classroom assigned by the Registrar.

While study rooms are designed for collaborative work, there is still a need to maintain a suitably quiet study environment for other Library Learning Commons patrons. Please note that the rooms are not sound proof. Please use headphones for playing music or videos.

Please be mindful of students in other study rooms and the LLC in general. Sound carries!  Do not move additional furniture into study rooms; leave it in the manner in which you found it.   When not in use by groups, these rooms are available as study or additional tutoring space.
