The Library Learning Commons (LLC) is the central hub for tutoring at Bristol Community College, housing both the Writing Center and subject-based tutoring.

Appointments

Writing Center one-on-one appointment requests are only considered for times outside of drop-in hours; to make a request, please email WritingCenter@bristolcc.edu with up to three different times and days you're available.

 

 

The Writing Center also offers emailed reviews of completed or partial drafts. Please submit your draft (as a .doc or .docx file), the assignment sheet, and three concerns about your writing to WritingCenter@bristolcc.edu. This email should come from your Bristol email account, and your student ID number should be included in your message.

This service is offered Monday through Friday, with a general turnaround time of 24 - 36 hours (so please plan accordingly).

Need tutoring when Bristol's tutors aren't available? Try Brainfuse! Bristol students get up to ten free hours of live online tutoring per term, as well as unlimited free use of the non-live features under "Academic Tools" (such as SkillSurfer and eParachute).

Before using Brainfuse's tutoring for the first time, please watch these brief videos (three minutes is enough time for both!) on connecting with live tutoring and using Brainfuse's whiteboard during a session.
