Getting Research Help

Reference librarians are available to help you find information during library hours. Chat reference questions should get a response within a few minutes; phone calls are answered as soon as possible.

Getting Tutoring Help

You can access tutoring services via drop-in hours in-person and on Zoom.

If you can't find what you're looking for, please contact us using the email OnlineLC@bristolcc.edu. 

 

Need tutoring when Bristol's tutors aren't available? Try Brainfuse! All Bristol students receive up to ten free hours of live online tutoring per term, as well as unlimited free use of the non-live features under "Academic Tools" (such as SkillSurfer and eParachute).

Before using Brainfuse's tutoring for the first time, please watch these brief videos (three minutes is enough time for both!) about connecting with live tutoring and using Brainfuse's whiteboard during a session.

Getting Writing Help

You can access the writing center via drop-in hours in-person and on Zoom. 

The Writing Center also offers emailed reviews of completed or partial drafts. To access the draft review service, please send the following items to WritingCenter@bristolcc.edu:

  • Completed or partial draft (as a .doc or .docx file)
  • Assignment sheet
  • Three concerns or areas for feedback

This email should come from your Bristol email account, and your student ID number should be included in your message.

This service is offered Monday through Friday, with a general turnaround time of 24 - 36 hours (so please plan accordingly).

Writing Center one-on-one appointment requests are only considered for times outside of drop-in hours; to make a request, please email WritingCenter@bristolcc.edu with up to three different times and days you're available.
