Integrating Library Learning Commons Resources into Canvas

Follow these steps to create persistent links to materials in the CQ Researcher database:

Start at the A-Z Databases page:

1. Go to the CQ Researcher database. 
2. Search for a topic and find an article you like.  
3. Click on a title to bring up the record.
4. Find icon for Get Link in right-hand margin. Click it to get the page permalink.  
5. Copy the URL. The Library's remote access prefix is included. Make sure you copy the whole thing.

Then go to your Canvas shell: 

• Within a text editor box, paste in the new persistent link, OR
• Within a Module, create a new External Link and paste in the new persistent link as the URL. Make sure to check the box for the Load in a new tab option.  Main Canvas page with stay open.
