Integrating Library Learning Commons Resources into Canvas

Overview

This instructor's' guide covers how to supplement your course material with direct links to a wide variety of library databases which include: journal, magazine and newspaper articles;  eBooks; and streaming videos.

Advantages of providing direct links to specific resources in your Canvas course section/s::

  • Familiarizes students with the library databases. Linking directly to articles, books and videos in a library database provides students the opportunity to see and use the database without having the added responsibility of evaluating and choosing resources from the database. Students do not have to come to a Reynolds campus library. They can access this digital material at anytime and from anywhere.

You are also welcome to link directly to any of the guides, handouts, or worksheets that we have created to assist students with their research and help them develop their information literacy skills.
