According to the Antidefamation League's 2022 Antisemitic Audit, antisemitic events have risen by 38% over the previous year. This is the highest number of antisemitic incidents recorded since the ADL began to collect data in 1979. For each of the past three years, the number of antisemitic events has outnumbered the previous year.
Over the last two years, Massachusetts was second only to Texas in incidents of extremist propaganda. In 2022, according to the ADL, antisemitic events rose 41% over 2021. This includes extremists and white supremacist events, and two deaths linked to violent antisemitism in Massachusetts.
