HST256: History of World War II (Loggains): Home

Welcome

Welcome to the Research Guide for HST256: The History of World War II.  Please use this guide to find resources for your assignment

Please contact myself or any BCC Librarian if you have any questions.

How this Guide Works:

Tuskegee Airmen gather at Ramitelli, Italy, March 1945. Front row, left to right: unidentified airman; Jimmie D. Wheeler (with goggles); Emile G. Clifton (cloth cap). This guide is designed to walk you through the research process in a logical order.

In order to better guide you, I will use the topic of "Tuskegee Airmen" as a research theme throughout this guide.

On the Home tab you will find information on citing your paper in APA Style.

On the College Level Research tab we'll explore why research doesn't have to be scary.

On the Exploring Historical Events tab we will discuss choosing a topic and exploring it to discover where you would like to go with your research (often complex historical events aren't cut and dry).

The next few tabs, Reference Resources, Books & eBooks, Articles & Databases, and  Government Resources & Databases, will help you to understand the strategies of searching within each type of source.
