What is?

 

‘Management’ is a term that can be used in three distinct ways: (1)to describe the discipline of organizing and administering resources within an organization; (2) to describe the system and hierarchy of responsibility and authority that exist within an organization; and (3) to describe the ‘elite social grouping’ of people, which organizes and administers resources and maintains authority within an organization (see Child, 1969:13-16).
