Quiet Study Areas

These are located in the back of the Fall River campus library. New Bedford, Attleboro  and Taunton are smaller libraries and all  are quiet areas.

Open Study Areas

Fall River: upper level of the library

New Bedford: There are study tables provided for group study. Please be considerate of others when talking. 

Attleboro: There are study tables for group study. Please be considerate of others when talking. Also a student lounge and a reading room on the second floor.

Group Study Rooms, available at the Circulation Desk in Fall River

Rooms are available on a reservation basis. Please see the circulation desk to make your reservation. 

Information and Research Assistance

This service is provided at all locations.  We have reference librarians ready to help you. You can call us at any campus or Book a Librarian for one on one help.

Laptops, available at the Circulation Desk at the Fall River Campus

• Laptops are loaded with software including but not limited to browsers and Microsoft work suite programs. Some may have Adobe Photoshop.
• Due to copyright and virus protection reasons, saving of files or programs on the laptop hard disk is not possible
• Available on a first-come, first-served basis
• Quantity and models vary according to location
• They may not leave the library

Course Reserves

• Get articles and books assigned by your instructor for class

• Need an article or book not owned by the BCC Libraries?  Go to Interlibrary loan (ILL)

Wireless Connectivity

• Wireless connectivity is easily available in the libraries and throughout the campuses

Bristol CC Campus Card

This is a multipurpose card. Your Campus card serves as your official Bristol Community College identification card. On top of this, the card can also be used to make purchases, access college facilities, activities, and more. The card also serves as your library card making it more convenient and flexible to check out books as well as access our databases off campus. For more info Click here: Campus Card

Photocopying

• Use your card to pay for copying. Slide your card to activate copy machine,
• Change is not available from the library
• If you run out of Greenbucks on your card you may add money to your Bristol Bucks (Cash and debit cards accepted)

Printing

• Queue your printing from any computer in any of the libraries
• Release your print job by logging in with your access BCC log in Id at the Print station. See a staff member for help.

Scanning

Fall River library offers a KIC scanner where you can scan for free. Save your work as a Jpeg or a PDF file. You can save it to a flash drive or email it to yourself.

New Bedford you may use the printers as a scanner. Please see a staff member for help. 

Attleboro: Stand alone  flat bed scanner free for students

Cell Phones

• Use of cell phones is not permitted in the libraries 

Electrical Outlets/Phone chargers

• Electrical outlets are readily available throughout all libraries
• Fall River and New Bedford  has a Phone charger for your convenience
• Due to fire regulations, Please do not hinder walkways or paths with cords

Coffee and Food Services in the Library

• Fall River: First floor in the library. Vending machines are in the Roger's Cyber cafe for your convenience.  Includes Coffee.

Conveniences

• Restrooms and water fountains are located on each floor

Lost and Found

if you believe you have left something in one of the libraries all items get turned into campus police or security. Fall River Campus Police is located in D Building.  New Bedford: 800 Purchase; first floor. Attleboro: in Enrollment.

Faxing:

Fall River campus library offers faxing for students at .50 a page.

Did you know with your campus card you have free access to the New Bedford Whaling Museum and the  Boston Museum of Fine Arts? Simply show your student ID at these locations.
